Since 1959, the family-run company from Tuttlingen has been making an impression with its masterful medical technology.
It is no coincidence that the so-called VOLZER stopcocks are well known to this day in the world of medical technology. After all, they represent everything one associates with VOMED and its products, namely maximum precision, robustness and reliability – or put another way: quality which can only be achieved through intelligent development work and first-class craftsmanship. This is the very aim which has characterised the family-run company from Tuttlingen from the very beginning.
"It all started in my great-grandmother's kitchen", says Hans-Thomas Volzer, who has run the company since 1997. His father Rudi Volzer started his own business there in 1959 with the first small orders. Whereas at first the main focus was on the production of metal stopcocks and adapters, the product range was then continually expanded. VOMED thus grew to become a systems partner, planning, developing, producing and finally assembling all products under one roof.
The quality products of Volzer also made a name for themselves internationally and today VOMED exports approximately a third of its products to the USA, Latin America and Australia as well as to other European countries.
